On the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, his principles were commemorated at the Police Headquarters in Sector-6 Panchkula on Tuesday. Tributes were paid by observing a 2-minute silence at 11 am, with the Director General of Police, Shatrujit Kapoor, and numerous other officers and employees in attendance.

Director General of Police Shatrujit Kapoor, reflecting on the occasion, emphasized Mahatma Gandhi’s role in guiding the nation towards truth and non-violence. Kapoor highlighted Gandhi’s contribution to securing freedom through the path of non-violence.

He urged all officers and employees to embrace Gandhi’s ideals, encouraging them to take a pledge of honesty, adherence to non-violence, and devoted work. Kapoor stressed that such a commitment would serve as a genuine tribute to the Father of the Nation.
Shatrujit Kapoor called for introspection among all individuals present, emphasizing the need to assess their actions. He urged collective efforts to realize the vision of a strong India envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi.

In attendance at the tribute ceremony were high-ranking officials, including Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Mamta Singh, IG Admin Sanjay Kumar, IG Law and Order Hardeep Doon, AIG Administration Manisha Chaudhary, AIG Provisioning Kamaldeep Goyal, along with many other officers and employees.
