Former US President Donald Trump narrowly avoided an attempt on his life during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, where he was shot in the right ear. He was swiftly taken to a hospital and is recovering. Just a day after the incident, billionaire Elon Musk criticized an opinion piece by The New York Times, calling it heartless and lacking empathy. Musk posted a photo of the opinion page, which accused Trump of failing leadership and betraying America, urging voters to reject him in November.

Elon Musk revealed on Sunday that he had also been targeted in two assassination attempts within the past eight months. He described the times ahead as dangerous and disclosed that individuals were apprehended with firearms near Tesla HQ in Texas.

Musk expressed support for Trump’s presidential bid, likening him to Theodore Roosevelt in terms of toughness. In 2022, Musk had previously accused the media of revealing his location and flight details, leading to the suspension of some journalist accounts by his company, X.
