A meeting, convened under the chairmanship of Vijay N. Zade, , Chief Electoral Officer, U.T. Chandigarh, adhering to the Election Commission of India’s directives, discussed the final publication of the electoral roll as of January 1, 2024, with political party representatives.

DVD copies of the final electoral roll were distributed to political party representatives, with Zade urging them to verify all electors’ names and supplement any omissions by submitting Form 6.

Political party representatives were further tasked with verifying areas with a significant number of Labour voters, ensuring their enrollment through Form 6 or addressing relocations with Form 7. Zade also requested scrutiny of VIP or celebrity voters in respective areas.

Additionally, representatives were asked to report any infrastructure issues observed at the 614 polling stations set up for the General Election to Lok Sabha 2024.
