UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024 Out: Direct Link Here

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the UPSC CSE Prelims Results 2024. Candidates who took the exam can now check their results on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2024, held nationwide on June 16, saw over 13.4 lakh candidates participate across various exam centers. The examination was divided into two shifts, covering General Studies and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). General Studies (Paper I) included topics such as Indian polity, geography, history, Indian economy, science and technology, environment and ecology, and international relations. The CSAT (Paper II) tested candidates on reasoning and analytical abilities, reading comprehension, and decision-making skills. The examination consisted of objective-type questions with four options, carrying a total of 400 marks.

Successful candidates will advance to the next phase, the UPSC Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2024, followed by an Interview or Personality Test.

How to Check the UPSC CSE Prelims Results 2024

  1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
  2. Click on the “UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Result 2024” link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your UPSC CSE Roll Number/Registration Number and Date of Birth (DOB).
  4. Click “submit” to view your result.
  5. Download and print the result for future reference.

Candidates can also check their results at upsconline.nic.in.

Passing Criteria for UPSC Prelims 2024

To clear the UPSC CSE Prelims, candidates must score a minimum of 33% in General Studies Paper 2 and meet the overall qualifying marks in General Studies Paper 1. The UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2024 is scheduled for September 2024. The cutoff and answer key for the prelims will be released after the final results are declared.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination aims to fill 1,056 vacancies in various central government services and departments, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), with 40 seats reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities.
