The Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC, has yet to announce the final result for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. When announced, candidates will have access to viewing their results at the official website — upsc.gov.in.
The interview round, or the personality test, finished on April 17, 2025. A total of 2,845 candidates were shortlisted for the interview procedure by UPSC, and it started from January 7 and continued in two shifts a day, i.e., 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Main Exam Held in September 2024
The main examination of the Civil Services was conducted over five days: September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29, 2024. The examinations were conducted in two shifts—morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Mains exam commenced with Paper I and ended with Papers VI and VII. The main examination results were declared on December 9, 2024.
Prelims and Application Details
The first test was conducted on June 16, 2024, and the results were announced on July 1, 2024. Only shortlisted candidates who had cleared the prelims could appear for the Mains. The UPSC CSE 2024 application process began on February 14 and closed on March 5, 2024.
This year’s recruitment campaign is designed to recruit 1,056 officers in different administrative divisions of the central government.
