Navya Nanda To Pursue BPGP MBA At IIM Ahmedabad: Course Fee, Duration And More

Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, has enrolled in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad for a postgraduate MBA program. Navya announced her admission to the prestigious and highly competitive management institute via an Instagram post shared yesterday. The 26-year-old posted several photos from the IIM-A campus, captioning them: “Dreams do come true !!!!!! The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026.”

Her post received a flood of congratulatory messages, though some internet users expressed skepticism, noting that it’s unusual for a celebrity child to attend an Indian educational institution.

Navya, the daughter of Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology and UX Design from Fordham University in the USA. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she mentioned, “Well, I also come from a business family too. So, I was very clear that (I don’t want to join acting and do this). At the end of college, I realised that this is what I wanted to do.”

Here are the details about Navya Naveli Nanda’s IIMA course, including its structure, eligibility criteria, fees, and more:

What is BPGP?

The Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) is an online MBA program introduced by IIM Ahmedabad for professionals and entrepreneurs who wish to continue working while studying. This course is designed to equip participants with essential managerial skills.

Is it an online-only course?

No, the BPGP MBA is a blended program. It combines live online sessions with on-campus modules, meaning students must attend some course modules at the IIM Ahmedabad campus, though the majority of the program is conducted online.

As described on the IIM Ahmedabad website, “The programme is primarily delivered in an online synchronous mode, suitably complemented through distinct on-campus modules.”

What is the course duration?

The BPGP MBA is a two-year program.

Who can apply, and what are the eligibility criteria?

The program is open to working professionals and entrepreneurs with at least three years of full-time work experience. Applicants must be at least 24 years old and possess at least a bachelor’s degree/CA/CS/ICWA or equivalent in any discipline.

Navya previously served as the founder and CEO of Aara Health from April 2020 to October 2023. She is also the co-founder of Nimaya Foundation and the founder of Project Naveli, a non-profit organization focused on women’s empowerment.

Do CAT scores count for admission to the BPGP MBA at IIM Ahmedabad?

Yes, applicants can be selected based on an Online IIMA Admission Test (IAT) designed specifically for the Online MBA course, a valid CAT score from tests taken within the last five years, or a valid GMAT/GRE score. Final selection involves a personal interview with shortlisted candidates.

What is the course fee?

The program fee is Rs. 20 lakh (INR 20,00,000), excluding travel and accommodation costs for the on-campus modules.

Additionally, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee: Rs. 2,000 for those applying with CAT/GMAT/GRE scores or Rs. 3,000 for IAT applicants.
