India In New York Launches Internship Platform For Students

India in New York has announced an exciting new initiative to help Indian students find internship opportunities at various companies across the United States. This new platform is designed to connect Indian students with potential internship providers, making it easier for them to gain valuable work experience.

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between Indian students and companies looking for interns. This platform will be a great resource for students seeking to develop their careers and gain experience in their fields of study.

“As part of the initiative to support Indian students in its jurisdiction, India in New York has developed a platform for Indian students to find internship opportunities at companies in the USA,” a statement from the Consulate said. This new service is part of the Consulate’s ongoing efforts to support Indian students in the area.

Several Indian and American companies have agreed to consider qualified Indian students for internships. Students can apply directly to these companies using the information provided on the platform. However, it is important to note that the Consulate does not play any role in the selection process and is not responsible for the outcomes of the applications.

This new platform is a significant step towards enhancing opportunities for Indian students in the USA, providing them with the tools they need to succeed in their careers.

For the third consecutive year, the US Embassy announced in November last year that a historic number of Indian students had chosen to pursue higher education in the United States. According to the Open Doors Report (ODR), the influx of Indian students to the US surged by 35%, reaching a record high of 268,923 students during the academic year 2022-23. Indian students now make up over a quarter of the total international student population in the US, which exceeds one million students.
