CTET 2024: Important Guidelines, Reporting Time, Admit Card, and More

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 July exam is being held today. Here are the important details you need to know to ensure a smooth and successful exam day.

Important Guidelines

  1. Carry Your Admit Card: Make sure to bring your admit card to the exam center. Without it, you will not be allowed to take the test.
  2. Photo ID Proof: Carry a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport along with your admit card.
  3. COVID-19 Protocols: Follow all COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, and using hand sanitizer.
  4. Prohibited Items: Do not bring electronic gadgets, calculators, or any other prohibited items into the exam hall.

Reporting Time

  • Morning Shift: Report to the exam center by 7:30 AM. The exam will start at 9:30 AM to 12 Noon.
  • Afternoon Shift: Report to the exam center by 12:30 PM. The exam will start at 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Admit Card

  • Download and print your admit card from the official CTET website
  • Ensure all details on the admit card are correct. Contact the authorities if there are any discrepancies.

Exam Format

  • Paper 1: For candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V.
  • Paper 2: For candidates aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII.
  • Each paper will have 150 multiple-choice questions, and you will have 2.5 hours to complete it. 1 mark is awarded for the correct answer and there is no negative marking for the incorrect answer. Paper 1 consists of 5 sections and paper 2 consists of 4.

Exam Day Tips

  • Arrive Early: Arrive at the exam center well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush.
  • Stay Calm: Read all questions carefully and manage your time efficiently.
  • Follow Instructions: Listen to the invigilators and follow their instructions throughout the exam.
