CBSE Results 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 pass percentage of students in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj region this time has also been lowest for the fourth year in succession.
Prayagraj and Noida at Bottom in CBSE Class 12 Results
With 79.53 pass percentage, the Prayagraj region which comprises 49 districts of Uttar Pradesh ranks at the lowest amongst all the country’s 17 regions prepared by the board.
The Noida area which includes some of western U.P. district was at the 16th position with 81.29%. Last year also, Noida was at the same rank with 80.27%. This year, the pass percentage of the CBSE Class 12 is 88.39%, up by 0.41% compared to last year’s 87.98 pass percentage.
Prayagraj Region Shows Slight Improvement, Yet Remains Last
Though Prayagraj region students have shown a minute increase in overall pass percentage when compared with the last year’s outcome, it remains at the last on the list. This year the region pass percentage is 79.53% whereas last year (2024) the pass percentage was 78.25%.
In 2023 also, the region achieved lowest pass percentage of 78.05% among all 16 regions at that time in the CBSE Class 12 exam. And in 2022, this region achieved a pass percentage of 83.71% which again was the lowest pass percentage among all the regions. The pass percentage for the CBSE Class 12 exam in 2022 was 92.71%.
Southern Regions Continue to Dominate Class 12 Results
Continuing the trend, the southern areas still occupy top four positions with Vijayawada (99.60%), Trivandrum (99.32%), Chennai (97.39%) and Bengaluru (95.95%).
In the CBSE Class 10 result, the Prayagraj zone dropped to the 15th position with the pass percentage of 91.01%. In 2024, it had managed the 11th position with a pass percentage of 92.72% and in 2023, 92.55%. The Noida zone, with 89.41%, stands at the 16th position this year. It was at the same rank in 2024 with 90.46%.
Once again, all the top four positions were captured by the southern region. Vijayawada and Trivandrum jointly obtained pass percentage of 99.79%, Bengaluru 98.90% and Chennai 98.71%). The lowest scoring region was Guwahati, which had a pass percentage of 88.14%.
Overall Class 10 Performance Shows Slight Increase in CBSE Results
This year, the CBSE Class 10 students passed overall with a pass percentage of 93.66% compared to 2024 when it was 93.06%, an increase by .06%. In 2023, it was at 93.12% and in 2022 it was at a pass percentage of 94.40%.
“To avoid unhealthy competition among students, the board has neither declared a merit list nor has it awarded any divisions to its students,” said Sanyam Bharadwaj, CBSE controller of examination.
