The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) carried out search operations in a case related to the Himachal Pradesh Scholarship scam, an official statement issued by the agency said on Wednesday.
ED said that it carried out search operations on Tuesday in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
The central agency further mentioned that it has recovered Rs 75 lakh during the raids.
“During the search operations, various incriminating documents and digital devices, unaccounted cash of Rs 75 Lakh have been seized and an amount of Rs.2.55 crore lying in the bank accounts has been freezed,” an official statement said.
Further investigation is underway.
