A team of Election Commission will visit Bihar soon to meet officials and oversee preparations for the Assembly polls expected to take place later this year. Sources indicate that a report by Bihar Chief Electoral Officer has been received and is being considered by the poll body.
A few days back, Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer had sent several proposals to the Election Commission of India to ensure that voters adhere to social distancing norms for the state assembly elections. The Chief Electoral Officer has recommended use of toothpicks for voting over wearing of khadi gloves inside a polling booth.
