There has been a lot of upheaval in politics in Haryana these days after the state government launched a new initiative E-tendering for development projects in panchayats.
The newly elected Sarpanches and the state government are at loggerheads over the issue.
Apart from this, it also led to a ruckus in the JJP, an alliance partner of the ruling saffron BJP. Following the issue, the Panchayat Minister Babli who fought the assembly polls successfully on the ticket of JJP and later was given a berth in the state cabinet is eyeball to eyeball with Ajay Chautala, the party Chief.
Devender Singh Babli had advised here on Monday Ajay Chautala not to interfere in the working of the government and take care of the organisational set up of the party after Ajay opined that a minister should not use objectionable language for the sarpanches.
In continuation to this, a fresh development surfaced in this series after Ajay Chauta termed Babli as an insane person here on Tuesday which courted controversy and indicated the ongoing infighting among the party leaders.
In wake of the prevailing situation, JJP’s problems seem to be increasing to some extent. The Party stalwart and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and his father Ajay Chautala are mulling continuously over every aspect leading to the widened rift among the party leaders.
There is a constant discussion on one thing as to why Babli is being so vocal towards the s party leaders. According to political experts, the BJP seems to be getting political benefits from the situation.
After Ajay Chautala on Tuesday declared him even insane, everyone is having a close eye on the forthcoming possible political speculations.
Following the comments of Babli mentioning his father’s name in the matter, Digvijay Chautala advised Babli a day before saying that be it Babli or anyone else, everyone should stay within their limits.
No one is allowed to cross the limits Notably, After holding the portfolio of a minister, Babli had raised the issue of rampant corruption last year, and then Dushyant had advised him saying that Babli is required to come up with foolproof steps to tackle down corruption menace, rather than mere speaking.
It is pertinent to mention that infighting among the party leaders is not a new thing. After the JJP came to the government and the cabinet was formed, some MLAs publicly expressed their displeasure over not getting ministerial berths.
Some MLAs complained that they have been ignored even after registering a markable victory in the assembly elections. From time to time, the displeasure was visible both inside and outside the house and Babli is believed to be upset with Dushyant for a long time. Before this, the JJP MLA Jogiram Sihag had also lodged his objection regarding the closure of a village road on the issue of Hisar airport.
Apart from him, MLAs from Narwana, Ramniwas Surja Kheda and Ishwar Singh have also spoken a lot against Dushyant for the lack of development work.
In this way, about half a dozen MLAs of the party have been speaking against the party’s high command and Dushyant, which clearly shows that everything is not going well in the party.
