Technology is making our day-to-day life easy. The latest home addition that is making home cleaning easy and way more comfortable is Dyson V11 Absolute Pro. For someone who has used the cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner throughout lockdown, I was very excited when I got my hands on the V11. Let’s find below my experience with it.
DESIGN
Design-wise Dyson as a brand has aced the art. Be that any appliance, they all look so premium and nothing like the usual. The V11 does have the same cues as its predecessors. Like the V10, it looks futuristic. In comparison to the V10, the new Dyson V11 Absolute Pro features a plasma-blaster like in-line configuration module which consists of the bin, motor, and cyclone array. All these parts are aligned in a straight line to ensure even more powerful suction over an obstructed or diverted airflow.
The bin is 40% bigger than before so you can collect more dirt in one go. The latch for the trash is in the front. The high point on the design is the display on top of the barrel. It is very well placed to have a proper look at the animations. The display itself is bright and colourful, and with crisp images that shows real-time information of the remaining battery run time in three different modes – eco, auto, and boost.
Additionally, it displays maintenance alerts like filter cleaning reminder, airway blockage alert, and a visual demo of how to unblock the airway. There’s also a button at the bottom of the LCD to switch between the three power modes.
The additions on the cleaner are all made of good material, each attachment feels premium and oozes out perfection. The best part about V11 is that even if you want to place it up in your living area it doesn’t interrupt the aesthetics of the room.
FEATURES
Dyson V11 Absolute Pro is extremely rich in features. The most important thing when we use a cordless vacuum cleaner is its battery life. We can’t be left mid-way through our cleaning. To resolve this issue, V11 comes in three different modes. Eco mode is the first choice for long-duration cleaning. It might not be as effective as the Boost mode whose job is to suck out all dirt quickly but then it eats up the battery also faster. The Auto mode uses the in-built sensors on the High Torque cleaner head to detect brush resistance, allowing V11 to change the suction power to suit carpets or hard floors in real-time. The cleaner head uses DLS (Dynamic Load Sensing) to sense the brush resistance up to 360 times a second, which is then communicated to the motor and battery microprocessors. The Eco mode is the best for those who have kids at home and don’t want their vacuum to make any noise at all.
PERFORMACE
V11 gets a 20% more powerful digital motor than before. The motor has a triple diffuser which reduces noise. The display works well in helping the user know at all times what is happening on the equipment. The airway blockage alert is also helpful and comes in handy.
The advance technology used in the Dyson V11 Absolute Pro helps keep your house clean and pick up the minutest dirt particles. It is an extremely helpful device for people like me who suffer from dirt allergies. It helps clean areas and parts that you can’t do via the traditional cleaning method. The added brushes and parts help reach every corner of your house, bed, sofa, and carpet.
BATTERY
The Dyson V11 Absolute Pro comes with a 7-cell nickel-cobalt-aluminium battery. It’s 20% bigger than the predecessor and has been upgraded to be controlled with a dedicated microprocessor. The microprocessor judges the surface and optimises the amount of power needed depending on the usage.
Charging the V11 from dead to full charge took over four and a half hours. Using it on Eco mode and using Boost mode a couple of times gave me 40 minutes of vacuum time in the house. If you vacuum your house every day and not use Boost mode, then you can use it for up to 50 minutes.
VERDICT
Dyson V11 Absolute Pro is undoubtedly the best cordless vacuum cleaner that you can find for yourself in the market. It might not look too different from the V10 but has some great additions, especially with the modes, the larger bin, and battery life. You get yourself a display that constantly tells you what is to be done which is great. It does feel a little heavy and cleaning your whole house with it might turn out to be a bit tiresome. The only hitch for someone would be the cost of the product. Costing over Rs 50,000 would be a point of concern for a few. Rest there is nothing that you wouldn’t like about the product. Dyson V11 Absolute pro is a real pro cordless vacuum cleaner.
