Three men have been detained by the Railway Police in Bengaluru on suspicion of killing a woman by strangulation and stuffing her corpse into a plastic drum, which was discovered outside the entrance to the Baiyappanahalli railway station in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Police reported that a hunt is currently underway for five additional accused after the arrests on Wednesday. According to the authorities, the victims knew who was killing them. The people who were taken into custody have been named as Kamaal, Tanveer, and Shakeeb. Nawab, Jamal, Majhar, Assab, and Sabool are being sought after. The suspects were all laborers at Bengaluru’s Kalasipalyam vegetable market and are all from Bihar.

Tamanna, a Bihar native who is 27 years old, has been named as the deceased.
According to the investigation, she was killed in the backdrop of a family argument. Tamanna had divorced her husband Arfoz, a specially-abled person and got married to one of his cousins, Intikhab. The Afroz family did not take the development casually and harbored animosity toward her.

On March 12, the accused invited Tamanna to a lunch party and killed her by suffocating her with a veil.
