On Monday evening, Tamil Nadu state BJP president K Annamalai held a meeting in Tambaram as part of his ongoing En Mann En Makkal padayatra. The meeting was attended by thousands of people and Annamalai took to his social media to state that this was tremendous public support for the BJP and that his En Mann En Makkal yatra has brought political change in Tamil Nadu.

Writing on X (formerly Twitter), Annamalai stated, “En Mann En Makkal padayatra has brought political change in Tamil Nadu. It has become a huge people’s movement. For the future of their children, for the development of the youth, the people of Tamil Nadu are determined that there should be an honest political change. So far 17 parliamentary elections have been held in India. The 18th election is coming up. This is the first time that our Prime Minister Modi is going to be the Prime Minister again with certainty of the election result.

While other parties do caste politics, our Prime Minister’s rule is for the common man, for the betterment of women, farmers, youth and the poor. In 10 years, there will be honest good governance with no corruption allegations against not only our Prime Minister but even a minister in his cabinet.”

The BJP leader attacked the Congress party stating that Congress was dogged by corruption and that in 2014, the party had spent only 2 lakh crores on the country’s infrastructure but the BJP had allocated 11 lakh crores for infrastructure this year. “Our Prime Minister has been working tirelessly with the sole aim of speeding up the development of the country,” he stated.

The saffron party leader also spoke about how deeply entrenched corruption was in the DMK along with family rule.
Annamalai alleged that no investment had reached the people of Tamil Nadu but instead the state was now debt-ridden.
Annamalai wrote, “The Tamil Nadu government’s financial status report released today is all about renaming the central government’s schemes, DMK has not announced any new schemes.

In their election manifesto, they claimed that 3.5 lakh people were employed by the government, and in their financial status report, they said that the government had given employment to 60,000 people.
But only 10,400 people were actually given government jobs. But our Prime Minister Modi has fully fulfilled his promise of govt jobs for 10 lakh people in 500 days.”

The En Mann En Makkal padayatra is all set to culminate on February 25 with PM Modi addressing a public rally in Tiruppur. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, Annamalai reinforced that both the DMK and AIADMK were not fit to rule Tamil Nadu.
“Both the Dravidian parties are a recipe for corruption, aiming only for their personal growth.
Afraid of BJP’s growth, the two partner parties are in a secret alliance.

Tamil Nadu, which is a debtor state, should be transformed into a development state. Chennai should be rebuilt with a new structure. Corruption and family rule should be eliminated. Only the BJP can do this. As a first step, Tamil Nadu should vote on a single man named @narendramodi in the coming parliamentary elections. We need to strengthen the hands of our Prime Minister who is working tirelessly with the ambition to create a developed Bharat,” stated Annamalai.
