In a bid to directly engage with the concerns and demands of the public, Secretary School Education, Dr. Piyush Singla, spearheaded a significant Public Darbar at Srinagar’s Banquet Hall today. The event served as a platform for citizens to voice their grievances and seek prompt solutions.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director School Education, and several senior officials from the District Administration, Dr. Singla welcomed the multitude of attendees, including Vice Chairman of DDC, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, PRI representatives, and various delegations. The gathering witnessed a robust participation from the public, who seized the opportunity to present their developmental issues and appeals for intervention.
Delegations expressed appreciation for the outreach initiative, citing it as a valuable avenue to address concerns and urging expedited resolutions through official channels.

Responding to the voiced concerns, Dr. Singla promptly directed relevant authorities to address the raised issues, ensuring swift action for their resolution. Among the prevalent grievances were challenges related to infrastructure, including deteriorating roads, irregular power supply, inadequate healthcare facilities, and the need for improvements in public health institutions.

Specific concerns raised by delegations included power outages, fee regulations in private schools, road maintenance, water treatment, and healthcare infrastructure enhancements in various localities.

Dr. Singla assured attendees that all issues would be addressed on merit, with immediate instructions issued to officials for timely resolutions. Highlighting the significance of the Public Darbar initiative, Dr. Singla stressed its role in expeditiously addressing citizen grievances. Additionally, he directed Heads of Departments to effectively promote government initiatives and schemes to ensure maximum public benefit.

The event concluded with a commitment from the administration to continue engaging with the public through such initiatives, reaffirming their dedication to responsive governance and community welfare.
