Actress Donal Bisht who is popularly known for shows like ‘Roop’ and ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ opened up about the memorable times of Navratri celebrations. The actress who was busy shooting for her show last year recalls how she used to take out time from her hectic schedule to play garba along with friends. Recalling how she used to wrap up the shoot and rush to the garba ground last year, ‘The Ek Deewana Tha’ actress says, “Navratri is known for its dandiya culture, initially we all used to be very occupied with shoots so we used to carry our clothes on the set, get ready and leave for grounds to play garba.” She also misses going out to different places to attend garba events and celebrate the festival with her fans and vivid people. “This time there’s no celebration as such, we used to go and attend events before but not this time,” adds Donal.

“My fondest memory of navratri is from the days of ‘Roop’ as it was based on Gujarati family. So we used to celebrate it in a grand way by wearing colourful costumes,” she exclaims. When asked about her visit to any Mata Ki Chowki in the past, Donal replies “I visit all the temples but have never visited a chowki till date. I have this memory of visiting Ambaji during the shoot of my first show from where I bought an idol of Durga Maa.” Lastly, the actress shares with us the special delicacies her mother cooks during Navratri, Donal says, “Kanjak, I remember my mother used to make black grams, poori and halwa. As far as I am concerned I can only boil chane (laughs).
