Ashar Group, a leading real estate firm in Mumbai, has transformed the old and beautiful family bungalow of superstar Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu into a high-end residential complex called ‘The Legend’ on his 102nd birth anniversary.
The luxury development has created much buzz as it sold out Rs 500 crore within the first 15 months since its launch. A statement from the company released stated, “‘The Legend by Ashar’ on Pali Hill, Bandra, has crossed the mark of Rs 500 crore in sales within 15 months of its launch. This reflects the high demand for luxurious homes in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Mumbai and sets a new benchmark in high-end real estate in the city.”
The project sold four triplex luxury apartments out of 19 available units. One of these was sold to an infrastructure development company, Apco Infratech Private Limited, for Rs 155 crore in July 2024. The rest of the apartments sold at an average rate of Rs 1.50 lakh per square foot. Transactions involved high-net-worth individuals such as chartered accountants and business leaders. These deals are expected to come into official records by the time January or February approach.
The revamp would feature 19 ultra-luxurious apartments along with 4- and 5-BHK units; this would include duplex apartments and potentially total revenue of Rs 850 crore. A 2,000 sq. ft. museum will also adorn this project to celebrate Dilip Kumar’s legacy. March 2016: Dilip Kumar signed a development agreement with Ashar Group, as it was the starting point towards the launch of this luxury residency project.
