Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has been made in charge of more than 60 assembly constituencies where the Congress party lost in the last two or three assembly polls of the state. Though a difficult job to perform, Digvijay has taken the responsibility to change the fortunes of those seats in favour of Congress. But he has given a condition that he will be the final authority in selecting the candidates of those constituencies. Mr. Singh has started touring those constituencies and met the local leaders there. According to sources close to him, feedback from those constituencies suggests that many of the seats may bring good fortune to the party. Some leaders speculate that if candidates from those constituencies become victorious, then who knows, he may become a contender for the Chief Minister’s post. Though he has publicly declared that Kamal Nath would be the Chief Minister if the party comes to power.
BJP launches a new app to reach voters
Keeping the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in mind, BJP is going all out to impress the Hindu voters of the country. Recently, they have launched a new app in the name of ‘TempleNet.’ Any citizen can download the app and find details of all the temples in the country in one go. They can plan to visit the temples as and when required. Many BJP leaders were supposed to be present at the inauguration ceremony of the app. However, due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program in Bhupal, many of them could not attend. It was basically organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Finally, they got former Chief Minister Biplob Dev to attend the inauguration function. BJP has been asked to campaign in a big way for the app-based temple tourism in the country. They are even planning a conducted tour of the temples of the country. It is planned that more than a hundred temples would be covered before the Lok Sabha polls.
