Orhan Awatramani, popularly known online as Orry, has made headlines again, though not for his usual appearances at Bollywood parties. This time, the internet personality is in the news for his role in the 2024 U.S. elections. On Wednesday, Republican candidate Donald Trump was re-elected as the 47th President of the United States, defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Trump’s victory included surpassing the critical 270 electoral vote threshold, ultimately securing 277 votes to reclaim the presidency.
Orry took to Instagram to share his support for the win, posting, “We did it Donald 😻 😭 we did it Donald Trump #POTUS #MyPresident #MAGA #MakeAmericaSafeAgain #Trump2024. Proud to have exercised my right to vote in the exclusive 2024 presidential elections.” Orry also shared photos of his certified ballot and envelope, showing he had voted from India. This confirms his U.S. citizenship, as he was able to cast his vote with assistance from the Center for U.S. Voters Abroad.

In his post, Orry further emphasized that he voted for Trump in the election, a revelation that stirred public attention.
The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election saw Donald Trump, now 78, make history as the oldest person to assume the presidency. Known for his unconventional journey from business mogul to reality TV star, Trump has repeatedly challenged political norms. His victory marks a striking return to the White House after his controversial 2020 exit. Despite not accepting his previous loss, which led to the January 6 Capitol riots, his multiple legal challenges, and surviving two assassination attempts, Trump reclaimed the presidency, with a pivotal win in Wisconsin pushing him over the electoral threshold needed.
