Dial 112 emergency helpline that was brought in existence on July 12, 2021 continues to prove its mettle as it is gaining popularity across the country in a short span of period. Amid this, the data maintained by the team of project revealed that as many as 93295 vehicles have been sent to needy people who contacted the helpline 112 for emergency assistance during above mentioned period. A total of 88017 vehicles were made available to the persons looking for emergency police assistance.

What is more important here to state is that as many 13020 vehicle under police assistance category were sent on the spots where crime against women took place. Although, the officials looking after the project, are leaving no stone unturned to provide the timely assistance to the needy women but apart from this, the statistics clearly indicate the increasing crime against women which is a matter of serious concern. Besides, the persons who got hurt due to some reasons emerge on the top in term of vehicle assistance provided to them and a total of 13930 vehicles were sent for their help on the spot. Similarly, a total of 12715 vehicles were provided to the persons involved in any kind of dispute followed by the people met accidents and involved in quarrels with 12715 and 10149 vehicles made available to them.

It is worth mentioning that a total of 784722 calls were received on helpline during a period of 65 days i.e. 12072 calls a day. Further, as many as 15738 calls fall under non-actioned category. It is pertinent to mention that a lot of people contact rather for any information or inquiry, not for emergency assistance which is known as non-actioned category.
