Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain conducted an inspection of the SDM Office, Tehsil Office, Sub Registrar Office, and BDPO office in Derabassi Sub Division on Thursday afternoon to assess the functioning of field offices.
During the inspection, she directed the staff to log their field duty entries in the movement register before leaving the office. Emphasising punctuality, she ordered the implementation of biometrics to ensure timely attendance monitoring of office staff. Jain stressed the importance of a smooth office functioning, ensuring no inconvenience for anyone.
While reviewing the court proceedings, she urged a timely disposal of court cases according to established rules. Additionally, she emphasised prioritising problem resolution for senior citizens. Jain listened to the concerns of people at the Tehsil office, issuing necessary directives to officials for problem resolution. She suggested establishing a waiting hall, meeting hall, and parking lot to enhance visitor facilities.
Furthermore, the BDPO was instructed to fill vacant positions for MGNREGA staff and office staff at BDPO Derabassi to streamline office operations efficiently.
During her visit, Jain urged officials and employees to promptly address outstanding office matters, including MGNREGA, and personally inspected office records.
Deputy Commissioner Jain highlighted the commitment of the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to provide timely services to the people. The inspections aimed to make the offices of SDM, Tehsildar, Sub Registrar, and BDPO more people-friendly.
Jain instructed officers and employees to adhere to punctuality and perform their duties diligently. She urged officials to prioritize addressing people’s problems promptly.
Present during the inspection were SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, Tehsildar Derabassi Kuldeep Singh, Naib Tehsildar Harinderjit Singh, and BDPO Derabassi Ravneet Kaur.
