In the national capital, the cold wave continues as on Tuesday the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in Delhi dense fog was observed as the cold wave. The India Meteorological Department on Monday predicted cold day/severe cold day conditions in the national capital.
“Cold Day/Severe Cold Day Conditions very likely in some parts over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Rajasthan and cold day conditions in isolated pockets over Uttarakhand on 26th and 27th December 2022,” IMD said.
Moreover, in Delhi and nearby regions dense to very dense fog has been predicted by the weather department.
“Due to prevailing light wind and high moisture in lower tropospheric levels, Dense to Very Dense Fog is very likely to continue over some parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, and West Rajasthan during the next 48 hours,” the IMD said.
Earlier on Sunday Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees celsius and on Monday a cold wave and foggy conditions were seen in Delhi.
Talking about other states in the Gwalior-Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh the temperature dipped below 4 degrees Celsius and the cold wave is sweeping through the region.
“Due to the onset of northern winds, a cold wave is being felt from today onwards in the region,” Hukam Singh, Gwalior Meteorological Centre in-charge said on Monday.
