Delhi is preparing for significant traffic disruptions due to major election rallies by both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi scheduled for Saturday. The Delhi Traffic Police have issued a detailed advisory, recommending that commuters avoid several key roads and plan their travels in advance.
Special traffic arrangements will be in place around Ram Lila Ground and Ashok Vihar Phase-IV, starting from 2:00 PM on May 18, 2024. A senior Congress official emphasized the importance of these rallies in the run-up to the elections.

- K.C. Goel Marg
- Devendra Singh Tewatiya Marg
- Nahar Singh Marg
- Swami Narayan Marg
- Nirankari Marg, JJ Colony, Wazirpur
Diversion Points:
- Prerna Chowk, Keshavpuram
- Ambedkar Chowk, Ashok Vihar
- Nimri Colony Near Khatta
- Shankar Chowk (Water Tank), Ashok Vihar
The advisory encourages commuters to use public transport as much as possible and to plan their journeys with extra time, especially those traveling to MGM, Wazirpur Industrial area, and Shalimar Bagh, to help reduce traffic congestion.
