As the multilateral mega G20 summit concluded, Delhi mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi urged the Delhiites to join hands with MCD in a collective effort for a cleaner city. She said Delhiites have an important role in keeping Delhi clean.
On Monday, while interacting with media personnel, Delhi Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi said, We heartily thank the Delhi Municipal Corporation and the people of Delhi for the successful organisation of the G-20 Summit. She said the sanitation workers of the MCD had worked day and night to make Delhi clean and beautiful. MCD employees remained present on the ground for 24 hours during the G20 Summit. They have worked day and night on cleaning and beautification. She said that our sweepers, gardeners, and DBC employees performed their duties with full responsibility and devotion.
During the media interaction, the mayor urged the people of Delhi to keep Delhi beautiful and clean and cooperate with the MCD. The mayor said that the beautiful picture of Delhi should not be limited to the G20, but that Delhi should remain clean like this for 365 days.
The responsibility of keeping Delhi clean will be on MCD, but we also expect the public to make an important contribution to keeping Delhi clean. She further said that when the Commonwealth took place in Delhi, it was decorated in a similar manner, but after some time, the situation became the same as before. Now it is the responsibility of us and the people to maintain the beauty of Delhi.
Leader of the House, Mukesh Goyal, said, Under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, we will take Delhi to new heights and make Delhi the number one city in the country.
