A Delhi police head constable has been apprehended on allegations of sexually assaulting a woman in the Jahangirpuri region of North West Delhi.
The accused has been identified as Balwinder, as reported by law enforcement. On September 30, an FIR was registered at Mahendra Park Police Station based on the victim’s complaint.
Delhi police provided details on the incident, stating that the complainant and the accused were acquainted, and the accused had enticed her to visit the Mahendra Park station area, where the assault occurred. Following the victim’s complaint, the police officer was taken into custody.
As per officials, “The accused policeman was posted in the battalion of Delhi Police. At present, Mahendra Park Police is investigating the entire matter.”
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
