In order to protect citizens’ rights to health, the Delhi High Court on Thursday sent notice to the Delhi and Central governments regarding a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The notice asked for an order to incorporate Indian healthcare systems, such as Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, into the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). The matter was posted for January 29, 2023, by the bench of Justices Satish Chander Sharma and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela. The bench requested responses from all parties involved in the matter, including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of AYUSH, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
