Doctors at several hospitals in Delhi supported the IMA’s call for protest by wearing black ribbons. The protest was against the Centre’s move of allowing postgraduate practitioners of Ayurveda to perform certain surgical procedures after training.

Doctors from AIIMS, DDU Hospital, GTB Hospital, LNJP Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, BSA hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital and Hindu Rao Hospital performed their duties while wearing black bands and ribbons. The Dental Association also extended its support.

However, most hospitals in Delhi could not support the IMA’s call for a nationwide shutdown because of the Covid-19 situation.
