In the evening of February 18, a Dwarka court granted 3 days’ remand to 5 accused in the Nikki Yadav murder case, including Virender, Sahil’s father.
Delhi Police had arrested these accused after interrogating Sahil in police custody. According to sources, Delhi police arrested the father, two cousins, Ashish and Naveen, and two friends, Amar and Lokesh, of Sahil on February 18 at the residence of the duty magistrate.
According to the police, during interrogation, Sahil disclosed that the deceased had asked him not to marry another girl because both (Sahil and deceased) had already solemnised their marriage in the year 2020. She was actually his wife and not a live-in partner.
Therefore, she was pleading with him not to go ahead with the marriage fixed by his family with another girl on February 10, 2023, the police said.
