Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has submitted a request to the Supreme Court, seeking to extend his interim bail by seven days. Kejriwal, who requires PET-CT scan and additional medical tests, has requested the extension to complete the necessary investigations.

Kejriwal, granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on May 10 in connection with a money laundering case linked to Delhi’s excise policy, is permitted to engage in election campaigning until June 1. However, he is required to surrender to jail authorities on June 2 and is barred from holding the position of Chief Minister during this period.

As the Lok Sabha polls progress, with Delhi scheduled for May 25, the AAP and the Congress have formed an alliance for the elections. The AAP is contesting in four seats, while the Congress is contesting in three.
