The Delhi BJP staged a protest outside the AAP MLA Somnath Bharti’s residence. This protest was headed by Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, after cornering Delhi’s AAP government on the issue of excise policy. The Delhi BJP has begun to target the AAP government over the alleged land grab in Hauz Khas.
The BJP has accused AAP MLA Somnath Bharti of occupying the land by building a graveyard in the Green Belt of Delhi. The BJP is calling it “land jihad”.
Demanding the dismissal of Somnath Bharti, BJP Delhi president Adesh Gupta said, “Land worth a crore rupees in the Deer Park of Hauz Khas area has been occupied at the behest of Kejriwal’s close aide and MLA Somnath Bharti.”
He further added that ,”this corruption has been done in collaboration with the Waqf Board on the land adjoining the graveyard, which is actually DDA’s land”.
According to the Delhi BJP, the protest will continue till concrete action is not taken against AAP leaders on the issue of land grabbing.
Gupta demanded the Lt Governor punish five accused persons involved in this whole case.
The protest was attended by LOP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, State Vice President Rajan Tiwari, media co-head Harihar Raghuvanshi, spokesperson Aditya Jha, former MLAs Anil Sharma and Prashant Sharma, former Corporation Councilor Nandani Sharma, and other office bearers.
