The city of Ahmedabad was rattled by another shocking incident involving food safety, as a customer at Devi Dosa restaurant in Nikol discovered a dead rat in their bowl of sambar. The distressing incident, which has sparked outrage and concern among residents, prompted swift action from authorities.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Health Department issued a notice to the restaurant’s owner, citing serious violations of health and hygiene standards. Bhavin Joshi, Food Safety Officer at AMC, emphasized the need for stringent measures in food preparation to prevent such incidents in the future.

“The video of the customer showing the dead rat swimming in the sambar has gone viral on the internet, earning a lot of views,” Joshi remarked, underscoring the widespread attention and public outcry over the incident.
