‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, commonly known as DDLJ, debuted in 1995. Directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra, it stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles and has become one of the most beloved films in Indian cinema. The film, which was shot in India, London, and Switzerland, was the highest-grossing Indian film of 1995 and remains one of the most successful Indian films ever.

The plot revolves around Raj and Simran, who fall in love during a trip to Europe but face cultural and familial obstacles, embodying a timeless tale of love, tradition, and family values. Its memorable music, stunning locations, and the chemistry between the leads have solidified its status in cinematic history.

On the professional front, Kajol is preparing for the release of her Netflix film ‘Do Patti’, co-starring Kriti Sanon. Directed by debutant Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, the film is set to stream from October 25. Recently, the makers released a teaser, announcing, “Ab hoga khel shuru, lekin iss kahaani ke hai do pehlu. Do Patti releases on 25 October, only on Netflix.”

Set in the fictional town of Devipur, Uttarakhand, Kajol portrays a fierce cop investigating an attempted murder case, while Kriti Sanon plays twin sisters involved in the mystery, each hiding secrets that deepen the intrigue. The cast also includes Shaheer Sheikh as Dhruv Sood, a character entangled in love and mystery. ‘Do Patti’ marks Kajol’s second collaboration with Kriti after their earlier film, ‘Dilwale’.
