Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan chaired a meeting to assess the progress of Chief Minister announcements in Panchkula district, directing officials to prioritize and expedite the completion of these initiatives.
The meeting, held at the Mini Secretariat’s auditorium, involved a comprehensive review of the CM announcements department-wise. Out of 167 announcements, 115 have been completed, 16 are in progress, and 29 remain pending.
Emphasising Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s commitment to various development sectors in the district, Deputy Commissioner Sarwan stressed the officers’ responsibility to ensure swift completion of these initiatives for the public’s benefit. He pledged regular reviews to monitor progress and urged departmental coordination, urging officials to promptly address inter-departmental issues to prevent delays.
Deputy Commissioner Sarwan also assessed major ongoing development projects in the district, urging officers to personally inspect field operations and ensure the use of quality materials. He emphasized the need to adhere to stipulated timelines for completing all development projects.
Participants in the meeting included Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Gagandeep Singh, DDPO Vishal Parashar, HSVP Executive Engineer NK Payal, PWD Executive Engineer Ashish Chauhan, Panchayati Raj Executive Engineer Vikas Rana, BDPO Morni Ankur, BDPO Pinjore Martina Mahajan, Fire Officer Tarsem Singh, District Program Officer of the Women and Child Development Department Aaru Vashishtha, and SDO Dharmendra of the Public Health Engineering Department, along with officers from the Civil Surgeon Office.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the collaborative effort needed to address any pending works at the headquarters level, urging officers to communicate effectively for timely resolution. The meeting concluded with a commitment to ensure the successful and timely completion of Chief Minister announcements for the overall development of the district.
