Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the dairy sector is one of the main factors in the growth of the rural economy in India and technological advancement will catalyse the growth of the Sabar daily project, which aims to help the farmers and milk producers contribute to the growth of the rural economy.
“Today, Sabar Dairy has expanded. New projects worth hundreds of crores are being set up here. Sabar Dairy’s capacity will increase further with the addition of a milk powder plant with modern technology and one more line in the A-septic packing section,” said PM Modi while addressing the audience after the inauguration ceremony at Sabar Dairy In Gujrat.
He further added, “The development of Gujarat in the last two decades has shown great results. Today, Gujarat’s dairy market is worth Rs 1 lakh crore. “
He talked about how the milk powder plant will enhance the Sabar Dairy Project’s productivity.
The prime minister added, “Through the launch of technology-driven projects at Sabar Dairy, we will be able to support farmers and milk producers and help boost the rural economy. With new projects worth hundreds of crores being set up here, Sabar Dairy’s capacity will increase further with the addition of a milk powder plant. The dairy sector has been a major contributor to the growth of the rural economy in India.”
The rise in female participation in the dairy industry, according to PM Modi, is an illustration of women-led development in the nation.
He added that efforts are currently underway in the nation to establish 10,000 Farmer Producer Associations (FPOs).
“Through this, small farmers will be able to directly connect with the food processing, value-linked export and supply chain. It will benefit the farmers of Gujarat,” he said.
He explained that India has successfully blended ethanol into gasoline at a rate of above 10%, guaranteeing that our cars will continue to operate in an environmentally benign manner.
“Till 2014, less than 40 crore litres of ethanol were blended in the country. It is now approaching 400 billion liters. Our government has also given Kisan Credit Cards to more than 3 crore farmers by running a special campaign in the last two years,” he added.
When discussing the Central Government’s single-use plastic ban programme, PM Modi declared, “Our cattle are now at war with plastic. When animals died in the past, 15–20 kg of plastic used to come out of their guts. We are attempting to eradicate the use of plastic in India in part because of this.”
