“It is a carnival atmosphere in England for the CWG and we are glad multisport games are back with live audience.” CWG baton runner and super fan from UK Manny Singh Kang said expressing his delight. One of the lucky fans to have gotten their hands on the CWG Baton and could not contain his happiness and delight. “It was an emotional moment for me to lay my hands on the baron,” he added. One of distinguished fans in football world, Kang distributes homemade samosas to raise funds for Dementia patients in the United Kingdom. Hailing from Shahbad in Haryana, his mother watched it live and he dedicated the moment to all the fans. “I was carrying the torch on the behalf of all the fans and it made my eyes swell with tears of happiness,” he said beaming with pride.

Kang, works in Postal department in England and is fondly known as “Samosa Saturday” and he offers samosa in the football stand and all the proceeds from this initiative is donated towards the treatment of dementia patients for free. Till date over 30,000 samosas have been set off and over 1,25,000 pounds have been raised. His fans include the EPL team Wolverhampton skipper Conor Coady and former coach Nuno Espirito Santo. Next on the agenda is to cheer for Indian & UK team in all discipline for CWG 2022 followed by edition of EPL. “Am an eternal sports fan you will always find me in stadiums”.
