Haryana is witnessing a decrease in new cases of fatal Covid-19 which is relieving for all. Besides, the number of people with high risk also continues to come to an end as revealed by the sixth phase of the Covid-19 survey conducted recently. As many as 2766393 households and 13168233 people were covered under this. Thus, on average, nearly five members per household became a part of the survey which was conducted by the ASHA workers across the state. Yamunanagar, Jind, Karnal, Sonipat, and Palwal exist among those districts whose maximum number of people (nearly 35000 to 50000 people each) was covered in the survey.

At least 473116 people were found with high-risk factors and likely to be infected by the Covid-19. Among these, most of them were either over sixty years old or suffering from some diseases like cancer, BP, sugar, lungs and kidney infection known as a non-communicable disease. With increasing age, their immunisation system had decreased. Maximum people belonging to this category hail from Ambala, Sonipat, Kaithal, Sirsa, Yamunanagar, and Sirsa districts.

The statistics also revealed that out of the total people surveyed, 28737 were found with symptoms of corona reporting the complaints of illness, cough, influenza, headache etc and among these, only 4980 people had visited the hospital or visited by the doctors at home. Apart from mentioned above, as many as 4013 people were suffering from breathing problems along with pneumonia at the same time and in wake of this, they were most likely to be infected by the corona. It is pertinent to mention that prior to this nearly 50 lakh households had been included in each phase of the survey which comprises over three crore families

Thus, about 14.5 crore people became a part of all six surveys. It is pertinent to mention that many aspects were added later in the survey in view of the changing scenario regarding corona like, oximeters were not part of the first four surveys to check the level of oxygen. Besides, the provision of a laboratory was not added in the first two phases of the survey.
