Soon after six officers working in Delhi Secretariat were infected with Covid-19, another 13 employees of Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal’s Office also tested corona positive. Earlier, on 28 May, symptoms of coronavirus were found in four people working in the LG office, after which the Health Department took samples of 40 employees for testing, out of which 13 tested positive. Following this report which came on Monday late evening, Covid-19 tests of all 293 employees working in the LG’s Office were being carried out.

Special Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Chanchal Yadav told The Daily Guardian, “The number of corona patients is currently 13. Social distancing is being followed in the office, all the meetings are now being held using a digital platform. Everyone has downloaded the Aarogya Setu app. Most of the offices are working digitally. The office is being sanitised, thermal screening is being done.”

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s Office is also infected by the virus; three people from the audit section of the Finance Department reported corona positive. Along with this, AAP employees working on the seventh floor in PG cell of the Delhi Secretariat have also tested positive of the virus.
