Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state, the Haryana government has issued new guidelines regarding the attendance of the employees in the offices. According the orders, the matter regarding the regulating attendance of the state government employees has been reviewed and it has been decided that all the government offices/departments shall follow the preventive measures with immediate effect. Also, physical attendance of government servants below the level of Under Secretary shall be restricted to 50 percent of the actual strength and the remaining 50 percent shall work from home. A roster may be prepared accordingly by all the departments concerned. Further, all officers of the level of Under Secretary, equivalent and above are to attend office on a regular basis. While, persons with disabilities and pregnant women employees shall be exempted from attending offices but are required to work from home.

While reacting to the increasing number of fresh cases and making required arrangements, Anil Vij , the Health Minister who also holds the portfolio of the Home Minister said that the situation is under control as the state government has made proper arrangements to ensure the timely treatment of the patients. He further said that in wake of the spurt in new cases, the officials and police personnel have been issued orders to ensure the implementation of corona appropriate behavior as well as the guidelines so that disease can be controlled.

In continuation to aforesaid and according to new orders, to avoid rush in commuting and lifts and corridors, all officers who attend offices shal stagger entry and exit timing i.e. spread entry to office between 9 AM-10 PM and corresponding exit time. The Head of the office and HOD’s shall take care of the aspect. Besides, all officials residing in containment zones shall continue to be exempted from coming to office till the cantonment zone is denotified. In this series, these officials and staff members who are not attending office and working from home, shall be available on telephone and other electronic means of communications at times. Meetings, as far as possible shall be conducted on video-conferencing and personal meetings with visitors, unless absolutely necessary in public interest are to be avoided. The entry of the visitors and outsiders to the office shall be curbed appropriately. It is pertinent to mention that prior to this, the state government had ordered to close the market and malls in five districts of state namely Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ambala and Panchkula.
