Himachal Pradesh has started a special independence vaccination campaign from August 9 to 15, 2021, under which all eligible persons above 18 years of age will be motivated to get vaccinated.
The state Health Department has shown concern over the increasing rate of Covid-19 cases with the rise in positivity rate.
The state health department said that the Covid-19 positivity rate is gradually increasing continuously in the state, due to which people need to be more alert.
In order to evade the woes of the Covid-19 virus, a vaccination campaign is also being conducted to vaccinate every eligible person in the state.
However, after studying the data of the positivity rate during the last 6 weeks, it has been found that from June 28 to July 4, 2021, the Covid-19, positivity rate in the state was recorded at 1.1, while from August 2 to August 8, 2021. 1.9 percent has been recorded.
The Covid-19 positivity rate that has increased sharply in district Mandi, Lahaul Spiti, and District Chamba, is also a matter of great concern.
Many school-going students were found coming out to be positive in the last few days and the government decided to close the institutions for the next ten days to avoid further contamination.
The government has urged all the eligible people to get the Covid-19 vaccination with a view to preventing the Covid-19 pandemic from wreaking havoc on the lives and the infrastructure.
