CHANDIGARH: Expressing concern over the steady increase in Covid-19 infections in the state, Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana K.P. Singh on Friday said that the latest corona negative report would be mandatory for ministers, MLAs, officers and employees to attend the one-day Assembly session on 28 August. According to an official letter, the MLAs will have the option to get their coronavirus test conducted in their respective districts from 25-27 August or at a camp at MLA hostel, sector-4, Chandigarh. Punjab Health & Family Welfare Department and all deputy commissioners have been asked to make arrangements for Covid-19 tests accordingly.

Meanwhile, a three-day camp will also be organised from 25-27 August at Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat complex, for the coronavirus test of officers/employees of Punjab Assembly and state government, who will be on duty during the session.
