Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is probably going to call a session of the Rajasthan Assembly next week as he hinted at this on Thursday. But there are fears that Gehlot will bring a motion of confidence in this session. According to sources, the party is working on two lines. First, if there are instructions from the court, then the government will prove its majority and the 19 rebel MLAs will also have to come to the House. And as per the rules, they will have to follow the whip. Votes will not be counted. Second, the government can bring a motion of confidence. It may also prove its majority under the pretext of a bill.

At present, Chief Minister Gehlot is sure about the government and has issued instructions to his ministers to work properly as before. The stalemate which was going on in Rajasthan over a week has now ended and the government has resumed its work. Gehlot is sure not to receive any kind of interference from the side of BJP and has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give out the same message that no undemocratic step should be taken in Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s difficulties have aggravated due to the inquiry order on the Rs 824 crore Sanjeevani society scam. Shehawat has been facing all sorts of allegations regarding this scam, out of which one allegation is that the money of this scam was going to be used to buy and sell MLAs. After an audio recording went viral, this claim was also proved and names of many people close to Shekhawatand his family members have come to light. It is a case of usurping the money of a large number of farmers and poor people. Shekhawat’s voice comes to the fore in the viral audio of this horse trade. However, he has been denying the allegations and has also denied his voice in the audio. Chief Minister Gehlot is equally claiming that the audio cassette has the same voice as Shekhwat’s and has asked the US agency to investigate. A faction of the state was already against Shekhawat and now the BJP has come on the back-foot due to him. After coming in the forefront due to these cases, he has joined the caliphate. Former Chief Minister and BJP national vice president Vasundhara Raje has kept herself away from the whole matter and is not even in favour of overthrowing the government.

According to sources, a large section of the state BJP does not want to topple the government either. The state BJP has also said that it will not bring a no-confidence motion. The high command is also serious about Shekhawat. Whether Shekhawat will be asked to resign from the post of minister or there will be a drop in Cabinet expansion, will decide his future. Due to the allegations against Shekhawat, the Congress is completely confident about the government and is considering prolonging the case in the court in its favour, as the old decisions of the Supreme Court are against rebel MLAs.
