A meeting was held in Delhi with Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and K.C. Venugopal, along with 28 other leaders of the Rajasthan Congress, to resolve issues within the Congress. The meeting lasted for 4 hours, after which K.C. Venugopal, the organisation secretary of the AICC, said that the Congress leaders would unite and fight the elections together.
He stated that the announcement of candidates will be made in the first week of September for the upcoming elections. Speaking to journalists, Venugopal mentioned that in the coming months, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Rajasthan for election campaigns. He made it clear that no leader in the party would indulge in making statements.
Apart from this, indications of changes have been given in the selection process of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. He said that changes will be made in the organisation based on the recommendation of the in-charge, Sachin Pilot. He said that a new history will be created in Rajasthan, and the Congress will unite and respond strongly to the BJP in the electoral field.
Incharge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa clarified that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was connected via video conferencing during the meeting. He said that now they will go door-to-door with the government’s work, and for that, the election campaign will be started. Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot said that a meaningful meeting was held for 4 hours in the presence of All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi to strategize the upcoming Assembly elections with the prominent leaders and ministers of Rajasthan.
