After the virtual meeting of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced that seat-sharing talks are progressing positively. In a post on X, Kharge invited all INDIA bloc parties to join Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ at their convenience. The meeting discussed alliance-related matters, and a committee was formed to plan joint programs in the coming days.
Leaders of INDIA Coordination Commitee today met online and had a fruitful discussion on the alliance.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, who attended the meeting via video conferencing, shared insights. He mentioned that a decision on seat sharing would be made soon, and there was a suggestion for Mallikarjun Kharge to head the alliance. Nitish Kumar declined the post of convenor, proposing that someone from the Congress should take responsibility. Pawar added that the alliance aims to provide a better option to the country after elections.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi participated in the meeting through video conferencing. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was absent, attending a pre-decided state program. The INDIA bloc, comprising opposition parties, aims to challenge the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
