In the Sheena Bora murder case, recent developments have caused confusion over the whereabouts of Sheena Bora’s remains. Initially, prosecutors stated on April 24 that her remains couldn’t be found. They repeated this on June 10. However, it was later revealed that the remains were actually at the CBI office. The bones were not considered evidence as they weren’t listed in the chargesheet. Meanwhile, the court was informed about an email alleging a witness in the case suddenly acquired wealth, prompting calls for an investigation.
Indrani Mukerjea, the main accused in the murder, had previously denied the existence of Sheena Bora’s remains back in 2012, dismissing the claims as fabricated. She also suggested that Sheena’s fiancé, Rahul Mukerjea, should be questioned and possibly arrested since he was the last person to see Sheena alive.
The murder case, which came to light in 2015, alleges that Sheena Bora was strangled in a car by her mother Indrani Mukerjea, with assistance from Indrani’s ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai in April 2012. Sheena Bora was Indrani’s daughter from a previous relationship
