As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar, Aashika Jain, in a collaborative effort to promote the Swachh Bharat Mission, a team comprising a Community Facilitator (CF) and Sanitary Inspector (SI), in conjunction with the SBMU team, ADC (UD), SAS Nagar, paid a visit to Valencia Enclave, Kansal.
During this visit, residents of Valencia Enclave received a live demonstration and awareness session on the importance of source segregation. This initiative was aimed to encourage responsible waste management and recycling within the community. In a bid to reduce single-use plastic consumption, cloth bags were generously distributed among the residents of Valencia Enclave. This thoughtful gesture serves as a motivation for individuals to embrace eco-friendly alternatives and contribute to a greener environment. This collaborative effort exemplifies the dedication of local authorities and the community towards fostering sustainable living practices and reducing our ecological footprint. Similarly, another visit to Shiv Mandir, ward no 12 was paid. An interaction with the temple’s priest and management helped in motivating them to collect used flowers in a separate container which will be collected by MC Office, Nayagaon. Temple priest motivated to aware people not to use polyethylene bags.
