Oil marketing companies have given the public some respite amidst the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha polls by slashing the cost of commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 19 per unit, effective right away.

Sources claim that after this decrease, the retail sales price of a 19 kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is currently Rs 1745.50. This comes after a price reduction of Rs 30.50 to Rs 1764.50 last month.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre has been repeatedly criticised by the opposition, mainly the Congress, for their incapacity to regulate gasoline prices and the consequent effect on staple foods and other goods.

Although the precise causes of the price drop have not been made public, a number of variables, including shifts in the price of oil on a global scale, modifications to tax laws, and supply and demand dynamics, probably play a role.

It’s worth noting that revisions for both commercial and domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders typically occur on the first day of each month.
