“On behalf of Tamil Nadu and its people, I am pleased to welcome the 16th Finance Commission Chairman and members. In related developments, a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence was held in Chennai on Saturday to review the Indian Coast Guard’s (ICG) role in ensuring coastal security along India’s extensive maritime borders.
