Chief Minister Manohar Lal addressed the demand from women to close illegal liquor vends in Indira Colony during the second day of the Jan Samvad program in Jyotisar, Kurukshetra. He instructed officials to inspect and shut down these establishments immediately.
In addition, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a community centre in Jyotisar, responding to a request from Sarpanch Neha Sharma. Manohar Lal highlighted the state government’s commitment to the “Sabka Sath- Sabka Vikas- Sabka Vishwas” vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which emphasises inclusive development.
During the event, the sarpanch of Raogarh village praised the state government’s new e-tendering system, stating that it would speed up development work in gram panchayats and improve transparency. The Chief Minister subsequently appointed the Raogarh sarpanch as the brand ambassador for e-tendering.
Manohar Lal emphasised the government’s ongoing efforts to raise public awareness on various social issues. He pointed to the success of the “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” campaign. The campaign, launched by Prime Minister Modi from Panipat, has evolved into a mass movement, effectively eliminating the stigma of female feticide in the region.
The Chief Minister also provided an update on the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a healthcare initiative for low-income families. He reported that 3,524 Ayushman cards have been issued in Jyotisar, with 672 cardholders receiving free treatment. So far, the government has spent Rs 1.32 crore on the initiative.
