Bharatiya Janata Party, Punjab Lok Congress Party (PLC) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) have issued an 11-point resolution letter regarding the assembly elections, while the 12th resolution has been added by former Chief Minister and PLC chief Captain Amarinder Singh on his behalf. In which the ex-gratia grant to the martyred soldier is to be increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.

In the Sankalp Patra of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), some promises have been made for every section. The NDA has taken a resolution to charge 300 units of free electricity to all the electricity consumers of the state and Rs 3 per unit for the units spent on it and to waive off the agricultural loans of small farmers up to 5 acres. To issue the Sankalp Patra, Union Minister and election in-charge of BJP Hardeep Puri, PLC President Captain Amarinder Singh, SAD Sanyukt Joint President Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, BJP State President Ashwani Sharma, General Secretary Subhash Sharma jointly came on one platform and all three leaders read the resolution letter.

Regarding who will be the chief minister’s face from the side of the alliance, Hardeep Puri said that this decision will be taken by the party’s parliamentary committee. With regard to BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s saying that Captain Amarinder Singh will not be the face of the coalition nor the post-poll chief minister’s face, Hardeep Puri said it would be his personal views. The party does not agree with this. At the same time, BJP state president Ashwani Sharma said that the manifesto will be released soon.
